In the spirit of our mission, we are asking you to join us at the Doubletree Hotel in Cranberry, for a fun night of dancing, auctions, food, wine, spirit samplings, and more! We will also be presenting our “Woman of Courage” award to a cancer survivor who has made a huge contribution to the western Pennsylvania cancer community. We will also present the second annual award for “Oncologist of the Year”. This will recognize an oncologist whose work has made a huge impact on treatment modalities and who has made and continues to make an enormous impact on their patients.

The Pink Pamper is honored and thrilled to announce their esteemed chairs who are well-known as powerful forces in Western Pennsylvania’s philanthropy sector. Our chairs for this year’s event are Linda Long, owner of Long-Awaited Design and her husband Jim. Both of which have a history of being philanthropists supporting cancer initiatives in Western Pennsylvania.
Linda Long is the Owner/Designer of Long awaited design LLC. It is a full service residential Interior Design company. After 28 years as a Registered Nurse working in multiple disciplines, including Oncology Research, she decided to totally change career paths and returned to school. She was educated at the New York Institute of Art and Design, majoring in Interior Design. She began her journey as a business owner in 2016 and has been growing her business since then. She is a member of the Pittsburgh Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, where she has served on the Ambassador Committee benefiting the community. She is also an active member of The Southwest Communities Chamber of Commerce; Pittsburgh Women’s Masterminds; POSH-Power of the South Hills; WIN-Women’s Interactive Network; and PEEL-Pittsburgh’s Elevated and Emerging Leaders as a founding member.
Jim Long has spent forty years serving others through his career in healthcare. He worked for seventeen years focused onIntensive Care Nursing and leadership and the past twenty-three years in Regional Director positions serving the dialysis community of Western Pennsylvania. He recently accepted a position with Healthmap Solutions focused on the medical management of chronic kidney disease (postponing or eliminating the need for dialysis) and will be responsible for the State of Pennsylvania.
He is a founding member of Gentleman’s Interactive Network (GIN) and a Champion member for PEEL (Pittsburgh’s Elevated and Emerging Leaders).
Linda was diagnosed with Stage II Invasive Lobular Carcinoma in January 2021. After surgery and months of chemotherapy and radiation, she is cancer free. Both remain committed to supporting the community in any way possible.
Jim and I are overjoyed to be the Honorary Chairs for this year’s event. We have a lofty goal of $200,000 to reach, and we are coming to our partners and our community for your support. From cancer treatment to recovery, the donor’s generosity makes it possible to provide much-needed support to mothers, daughters, sisters, wives and friends coping with the deadly disease.”
Don’t miss this powerful, inspiring, and entertaining event! This year’s event line-up promises fantastic entertainment, powerful messages from distinguished guests and survivors, amazing food and beverages, large silent auction, and authentic moments of connection.
